Trapped Neera RP Prompt

Recently you've noticed some very characteristic things going on around your house. The corners of boxes have been torn through, food you leave out is missing when you look back, and at night you hear the sound of something scurrying around you house. You go with the obvious answer, mice. Tired of your uninvited guests, you (or your parents, if your char is a child/teen) leave out some traps, confident that you'll be able to deal with this in short order. However, over the next few days, something incredibly odd happens. Not only are the traps not sprung, the bait is gone, like the mice are somehow taking it without springing the traps. 

However, you are persistent, and simply increase the number of traps. Finally, late one night you hear a snap. Though, you hear something strange along with it: a faint little squeal of pain. You go out to check the traps, and find the one that was set off. However, you stop dead in your tracks when you see what sprung it. You are shocked to see a tiny boy, maybe six inches tall, at most, with mouse ears and a tail! Said tail is currently pinned down by the metal bar of the trap, and the little creature is tugging on it futilely. You can hear him crying, so he's obviously in a great deal of pain.

You:

A. Watch him further, curious to see what'll happen.

B. Slowly approach, trying not to give yourself away.

C. Get his attention by speaking to him.

E. Switch, you be the very unlucky neera.

1. PG 13, romance allowed, just ask me to age up my char.

2. You don't have to be human for this RP, but please try to remain human-like.

3. If we switch, I'll let you lower the neera's height, but please, nothing ridiculous.
